Welcome to our FAQs .... Here you will find answers to commonly asked questions. If we haven't answered your question, then use the contact form to ask us directly. We love new questions. 

WHERE ARE YOU BASED .... We work from a studio in the beautiful city of Dunedin, on the South Island of New Zealand.

WHERE CAN I SEE THE WORKS IN STORE ... There are some works by Elizabeth Marshall at a fabulous design store in Oamaru. Inc Design Store is a destination concept store featuring amazing New Zealand creatives. It is worth a stop by on your South Island escape as we know Helen and her team are a font of knowledge and creative love. 

I AM IN DUNEDIN AND WANT TO SEE AN ARTWORK IN PERSON ... Super cool, how do you like your coffee? Most days we can accommodate a studio visit. We are 12 minutes from the Octago, so plan in advance, use the contacts form and we shall organise a drop in. 

HOW DOES SHIPPING WORK ....We try to keep it simple. At checkout pop in your address to see shipping costs for each item. Our made-to-order items are produced in Australia, New Zealand or even the USA so shipping prices change based on that and your address. Where we can we will bundle items and save on shipping costs. But for some items, you will see individual shipping costs so you can see how much each item is to be posted to you. 

Prices below are in New Zealand dollars for shipping artwork from our Dunedin Studio. 

  • New Zealand is $19 or free local pick up from central Dunedin
  • Australia is $69
  • The rest of the world aka USA, Canada, UK, Europe, Asia, Africa plus others is $190 
  • There is an oversized items fee for our really BIG pieces

International shipping from New Zealand is expensive as we are a million miles from you. We are literally at the bottom of the world, or the top if you turn your globe the other way up. But remember these are NZ$ so .... so if you have greenbacks it won't be as much as you think! At the time of writing $190NZ is about $116US.

DO YOU HAVE GIFT CARDS ... Yes you can buy gift cards that then allow someone to choose their own item. It's a win-win, as you get to spoil someone and they get the gift they really love. Gift cards have a three year expiry date, so ample time to find something they will love. Gift cards are here.

DO YOU DO GIFT WRAPPING .... Not at this stage but if you are buying art we may be able to help out - just ask. 

WHAT IS THE GIVE BACK ART AND COLOUR WITH PURPOSE RANGE ... Thanks for asking. We want to support our local community so 100% of the profits from the Give Back Art series and the Colour With Purpose range are donated to Dunedin charities that work to end family violence and support LGBTQ+ and neurodiverse young people. WHAT BRANDS DO YOU STOCK .... We are always looking for new collections, but right now we stock artworks and art inspired made to order items by Elizabeth Marshall and Riley Le (our in-house mother son design duo). Read more about Elizabeth here. We like our range to be joy filled and unique, and not something you will find elsewhere so all our prints and artworks are pretty special. 

I WANT TO BUY A PAINTING, BUT WHAT IF I DON'T LIKE IT WHEN IT ARRIVES.... Oops, yikes, that is a dilemma. We don't take 'change of mind' returns as we are a small creative business. Artwork sales are final. If you have any questions regarding materials, colour or framing, please use the contacts form before checkout and we will be happy to answer questions or send additional photos. Due to the nature of photography, colors can vary slightly from photos to real life. 

MY ITEM HAS ARRIVED AND IT IS DAMAGED .... Oh nooooooo .... seriously we pack like we are sending eggshells to Mars so we hope the courier respects our fragile stickers. But the good news is most parcels we send are insured - phew! Go here for more information as we need pics and words to help us sort out the shipping company. 

I GOT A GIFT FROM JOY INFUSION AND I DO NOT LIKE IT ....  Well that is a bummer. Be a nice human and say thanks, then do what we all do and regift it or hang it in the laundry. We don't take returns for 'change of mind' issues. 

WHAT KIND OF FRAMES DO YOU USE .... We lean towards affordable framing. So a mid-range shadow gap pinewood for lots of 32 x 32cm and 42 x 52cm paintings. We can do premium framing, but as the name suggests, it comes at a premium cost. We can normally do Ash, Maple and other options. Just use the contacts form to ask us. Our paper and artist board works are usually framed in off the shelf framing so we can keep our costs to a reasonable level. Most works can be reframed by you or your local framer if you want a different look.

DO YOU TEACH TEXTURED ART CLASSES .... Sorry, not at this time. I recommend two artists who do, and I have done both their courses. Henri at Textuuri has a great course as does Tracey-ann Acadamy. You should check out both and see who you prefer. Coming towards the end of 2025, I plan to develop some paint and sip afternoons for small groups, so if that floats your boat, sign up for occasional emails and you will be in the know.
