An abstract alpine-inspired original featuring silver foil and alcohol inks. Shimmering captures the majesty of New Zealand’s Southern Alps.

Shimmering pays tribute to the timeless beauty of New Zealand’s Southern Alps. Flowing alcohol inks create layered blues, silvers, and indigos that echo the drama of mountain ridges and shifting alpine skies. Silver foil gleams like sunlight striking snow and ice, bringing luminous movement to the canvas. This work balances strength and serenity, offering the grandeur of the Alps in a contemporary abstract style. Part of the My Country series by Elizabeth Marshall at Joy Infusion, it celebrates the landscapes that shape memory and belonging. A striking statement piece for collectors and mountain lovers alike.

"I lived for a while at Twizel and then Tekapo and the views from my windows are forever stamped on my heart. I was truly a magical place." Elizabeth Marshall.
