Part of the All for Love Series, Sweets for the Sweet is a joyous riot of gold infused colour. Created with alcohol inks on metallic foil, the piece shimmers with a radiant gold background, scattered with hearts in vivid reds, pinks, oranges, yellows, and greens. Each heart glows with layered transparency, creating depth and movement as light dances across the surface. The playful arrangement evokes feelings of warmth, connection, and celebration, capturing the many shades of love. This vibrant work invites the viewer to bask in its uplifting graffiti inspired energy—a sparkling reminder that love, in all its colours, is worth cherishing.

Artist Notes - General
Elizabeth is a Dunedin based artist, self-taught and passionate about adding joy to every day, expressed through art. Layers of paint and medium are built up over the canvas to create volume and form. This approach gives rise to a sense of movement and life in the work that includes raised surfaces, dips, slopes, bumps, cracks and lumps. Please zoom in on the images provided to appreciate these aspects of the work.
While the artist attributes meaning to all her artworks, she is keen for the viewer to find their own happiness and meaning in the pattern, colour and texture. These elements in and of themselves provide calm, restful and restorative properties to one's decor.
